The 2006 Tucson Gem Show
|
The Tucson Show exhibits give you the opportunity to travel around the globe in one place and see the best gems and minerals that museums and private collectors possess. There are also over 3,500 of the world's top mineral, gem, jewelry and fossil dealers with the best of their collections to buy from. The Tucson Gem Show is held at Tucson Convention Center Exhibition Hall and the Arena but there are also dozens of other gem shows that are held throughout downtown Tucson and nearby hotels.
The Tucson Gem Show is absolutely huge and the chances are you will not be able to see all of it even if you are there for the entire show. So it is a good idea to figure out what exactly you are looking for e.g. cut stones, beads, fossils etc. Once you have narrowed down what you want to buy then you can generally narrow down the places where you need to look as most of the larger shows (hotels) have a theme, i.e. minerals, jewelry, cut stones etc.
